Dirk watched the younger, giving him a little more space but keeping with the contact. Poor John. He wished there was more that he could do. Being here was the most important thing, and he tried to comfort himself with that.
He couldn’t help a warm smile as John’s cuddles, feeling his body cozied up beside him. “I absolutely can,” he smiled, wrapping an arm securely around him and beginning to rub his back.
The blond closed his eyes a moment before looking to John, “You know what I think? I think this kitten idea is really fucking grand. Because if you think about it, it’s adorable no matter what. When addressed, he glanced up at him, smiling a little as he heard his voice. It calmed him, considerably, and he rest against him a little further, listening quietly. By the end of it he was blushing and burying his face against the blonde, smiling a little more.
“I’m so excited to get a kitten. Especially with you. And we are definitely adorable.” He leaned up to kiss his cheek. “You jerk. Making me smile all dumb. I’m supposed to be sad about stuff.”
Dirk understood what he was getting into, going into this. He loved John so much though, and honest to god he’d do...
